ACEM offers a tried and proven combination of over 35 years experience, expertise, capacity and industry leading equipment. It allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to our client’s most urgent needs either large or small, anywhere in Papua New Guinea.

SPT Rig (Standard Penetrometer Test)

ACEM Engineering’s state of the art wireline SPT units, in conjunction with our purposed-built “all-terrain” SPT rig, allows us to get to the bottom of your most challenging Cone Penetration Testing assignment.

This rig is available to operate anywhere in PNG and can operate in double-shift arrangements (18 hours a day) if required.

Small Rig

ACEM Geotechnical Drilling fleet is supported with our smaller Gemco 210 and EVH 2000. These light weight rigs, mounted on 4WD vehicles are operated by our experienced Soil Technicians and are well suited to shallow borehole drilling.

Large Rig

ACEM Engineering’s large rig fleet comprises the EVH2100 Explorer 1750 and Gemco 210D.

These large and powerful truck mounted rigs are equipped for deep borehole drilling (in excess of 75m). These rigs have auger (solid and hollow stem), cased wash bore, wash bore, wireline, NMLC core drilling facilities, along with full sampling (U50, U75) and testing (SPT, Vane Shear) capabilities.

These rigs are available for hire. We can respond quickly and efficiently to your most urgent needs...large or small anywhere in PNG.

To complement our drilling services, ACEM can provide engineering supervision of our drill rigs. Our team of experienced Geotechnical Engineers and Geologists are available to manage and coordinate the most demanding of investigation programs and ensure all works are carries out to the highest standard.
